So, M is 7 days symptomatic, I'm 5 and Fern is 4.
Day 2 for Fern is in ICU.
Copied from a post on FB:
Morning update:
Fern is doing OK, they came round a bit last night, even though they were sedated - stubborn and difficult as usual.
The Doctor is keeping them sedated and on the ventilator today to allow her body to rest.
Her heart rate has dropped to normal (70 as oppose to 170 when they went in and 130 that they were on when Marc came home.
Her sats are 95% and oxygen is now only 25% whereas she started at 100%.
Things are going in the right direction, she has partial lung collapse as is normal for someone on ventilator.
The doctor is hoping that they can leave Fern on today, but hoping that they can bring her round tomorrow.
Whilst they can't tell us we can't visit, we've been advised not to go in whilst we test positive. They've offered WhatsApp calls as they have ipads there. As much as we want to be there, we don't want anyone else to catch it - staff or patients - as this bought our baby to ICU in 3 days.
If you aren't aware, continually vomiting and not being able to keep water down can be a symptom of covid.
