This afternoon M and I were able to speak to the consultant in charge of Fern's care. As predicted Fern isn't being the easiest of patients as they keep trying to wake up or sit up even though they are sedated. They are hoping that it things go OK tonight then they will try to take them off the ventilator (Ariel obviously), but she's still fighting every step of the way. Things are going in the right direction, she has partial lung collapse as is normal for someone on ventilator. The doctor is hoping that they can leave Fern on today, but hoping that they can bring her round tomorrow. Whilst they can't tell us we can't visit, we've been advised not to go in whilst we test positive. They've offered WhatsApp calls as they have ip
